STEVE Brown has made a double swoop on former club Dover as the new Ebbsfleet United manager continues assembling a squad at Stonebridge Road.

Former Millwall striker Ben May and Daryl McMahon have both agreed to follow former Dover assistant boss Brown from the Crabble to the Fleet.

Ex- Torquay, Notts County and Leyton Orient midfielder McMahon’s transfer comes with a £13,000 price tag.

May, who was born in Gravesend, scored 19 times for a Dover side last season which reached the play-offs.

He told the Ebbsfleet website: “Steve Brown showed an interest in signing me as soon as he knew he would be manager of Ebbsfleet.

“I’m currently enjoying a nice little break from football but I’m itching to lace my boots up and get back on the pitch.”

Today’s news comes after Paul Lorraine and Joe Howe both agreed to extend their stays at Stonebridge Road earlier this week.

More signings are expected to follow at the club which was last week taken over by KEH Sports Limited, a Kuwaiti consortium which has ambitions to take Conference South Ebbsfleet to the Football League.
