Combe enjoy comfortable win at Staines

WESTCOMBE Park ran in seven tries in Saturday’s 45-10 win at Staines.

The onslaught started with Nick Porter in the fourth minute and continued with further first half tries from Dale Bellinger and Ben Hough, with Joe Simpson converting the first and third for a 19-0 interval lead.

Staines got on the board early in the second half with a Chris Wells penalty, but a second for Hough and the first try after months out through injury for Kieran Leeper, together with two more Simpson conversions, gave Combe a commanding 33-3 advantage.

Staines’ Sam Hobbins reduced the deficit briefly with a try converted by Wells.

But one minute later Gus Barton and Simpson restored the 30- before point gap before Bellinger got his second try on the stroke of full-time.
