A SIZZLING 29-point quarter from the London Lions did for the Manchester Giants at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre on Sunday.

Adrien Sturt racked up 31 points and Tayo Ogedengbe 22 as the Lions cruised home 81-64 to keep a stranglehold on seventh spot in the race for the play-off places.

More than 1,500 attended the match having earlier taken part in London Basketball Day before the game got underway.

Coaching sessions and fun games took place throughout the day, with the crowd the highest to watch a British Basketball League fixture at Crystal Palace in more than 15 years.

London Lions are at home to Sheffield Sharks on Sunday at 5pm.
