BEXLEY football side Parkwood Rangers Ladies have reached the Kent County FA Plate final for the first time in their history.

Two goals from Lucy Evans secured the 2-1 victory over Gillingham-based Anchorian LFC reserves and a place in the final, where they will meet Herne Bay Ladies at Sevenoaks Town FC on April 3 (7.45pm).

Parkwood Rangers have had an exceptional cup run this season on three fronts.

Earlier this season they attracted media attention by becoming one of three teams at their level in the country to reach the first round proper of the women’s FA Cup thanks to a giant killing victory over Crystal Palace Ladies.

They also reached the quarter-final of the League Cup.

On Sunday it is back to the league for a game with Maidstone United.
