MORE than 35 race events feature on the finalised 2013 Brands Hatch calendar, with action set to take place at the north Kent circuit almost every weekend from next month until November.

Tickets are now on sale, starting at just £10, with free entry for children aged 12 and under.

The Kent circuit will be overcome with festival fever in 2013, with many themed events throughout the season.

A centrepiece will be the Aston Martin Centenary Meeting on July 6 and 7, which celebrates 100 years of the iconic marque, from its racing exploits on the world stage to its connections with James Bond and the royal family.

New for this year is the American SpeedFest, which brings the exciting sport of NASCAR racing to Kent on June 9.

In addition to the transatlantic-themed action, there will be many fun activities, including Monster Trucks, a barbecue competition, live music, a Hotdog eating contest, rodeo bulls and much, much more.

The popular Mini and Lotus festivals return on 22/23 June and 24/25 August respectively, along with the Masters Historic Festival over the late May Bank Holiday weekend (25-27 May).

All three mix racing on track with demonstration runs from rare and exotic machinery, including Formula 1 cars at the latter two events, plus plenty of off-track fun.

Meanwhile, Brands Hatch hosts the cream of British motorsport action during the year, including the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship on 5-7 April and 19-21 July, plus the finale on 18-20 October.

Triple champions Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne and Ryuichi Kiyonari go head-to-head in ‘the war for four’ BSB titles, but there will be many more riders ready to steal their thunder.

Touring Car fans can look forward to the opening and closing rounds of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship on 30/31 March and 12/13 October.

Newly-crowned Gordon Shedden faces old rivals Matt Neal and Jason Plato, plus returning champion Colin Turkington.

Meanwhile Mat Jackson and Andrew Jordan will both be chasing their first titles.

More tin-top action can be found in the DTM German Touring Cars, which visits on 18/19 May.

The spectacular, fire-spitting racers provide one of the highlights of the year, and the circuit will be awash with racing celebrities.

British hopes Gary Paffett, Jamie Green and four-time Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx are sure to be the crowd favourites, racing for Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW respectively.

The next generation of superstars are set to entertain spectators in the brand new MSV-run BRDC Formula 4 Championship, which takes its bow on 27/28 July.

A fortnight later the Cooper Tires British F3 International Series co-headlines with the burgeoning Avon Tyres British GT Championship, which brings stunning supercars to Kent, while there will be more outrageous machinery at the annual Modified Live event on 29 September.

The equally spectacular Delphi British Truck Racing Championship also returns on 20/21 April and 2/3 November, and the latter round once again provides the season’s grand finale, with a major firework display closing the weekend.

In addition to these headline events, the circuit hosts packed programmes of club racing week-in, week-out.

A huge variety of cars and bikes, both old and new, can be found at these events and a full calendar can be viewed at brandshatch.co.uk
