KENNY Jackett has challenged his Millwall players to grasp the chance to reach the last eight of the FA Cup when they take on Luton at Kenilworth Road this Saturday.

The Championship Lions will be favourites against non-league opponents, but will not be taking anything for granted against a Hatters side which has already dumped Wolves and Premier League Norwich out of the competition.

And although wary of the threat posed by Luton, Jackett is optimistic his squad will take the incentive of a potential quarter-final spot by booking a place in Sunday’s draw.

The Lions boss told News Shopper: “We feel it is a really big opportunity for us.

“It is an opportunity for both clubs to get through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

“We haven’t been in the last eight since 2004, so we want to try and take this chance to get there if we can.

“In no way can we underestimate our opposition because their performances so far have been fantastic.

“We’ve watched quite a number of their games and we’ve also watched their win at Norwich in the last round on DVD.

“Luton did very, very well to beat Norwich.

“They raised their game and probably deserved that win.

“It was a fantastic win at a Premier League ground so we have to make sure we get our game right, pay our opposition every respect, do our homework and then after that recognise the opportunity and play well ourselves.”

Recent loan signing Benik Afobe is cup-tied having already played for Bolton in the competition, so there could be a recall for Charlton target Dany N’Guessan.

“There is every opportunity for Dany to feature against Luton,” admitted Jackett.
