DARTFORD FC have rubbished Twitter rumours last night which claimed Luton Town supporters had caused trouble after their side were beaten 1-0 at Princes Park.
It was suggested on the social media website visiting fans had caused damage at the ground, but the allegation was this morning completely rejected by Dartford co-chairman Dave Skinner.
He said: “Following the news of a shooting being reported in Dartford last night, this is not connected in any way to the visiting fans from Luton Town FC or Dartford FC.
“We would also like to confirm that the reports of unsporting behaviour and damages being caused by visiting fans from Luton Town FC are also unfounded.
“Dartford FC would like to thank Luton Town’s visiting fans for respecting Princes Park Stadium and can confirm no damages or unacceptable behaviour was reported by our security teams for the evening in question.
“Luton Town fans left the stadium in good spirit and no cause for concern was raised.”
