Cockney Lions tame scouse Tigers

CRYSTAL Palace-based basketball side London Lions defeated Mersey Tigers 88-79, with 18-year-old Jordan Spencer scoring a season high of 21 points.

The win puts the Lions back in a play-off spot and ended the streak of losses after injuries beset the team.

Spencer’s tally included five three-pointers, while Adrien Sturt added 17 and nine rebounds.

On Friday evening the Lions host Cheshire Pheonix at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre (7.30pm).
