BRADLEY Wright-Phillips’ Valley future looks decidedly uncertain in the final hours of the transfer window.

The Charlton striker has found himself falling further down the pecking order as the season has gone on, prompting speculation a move could be on the cards.

Chris Powell has yet to receive a concrete offer but accepts that could very easily change between now and 11pm.

The SE7 manager said: “We’ve had phone calls but people not following it up, so again there is still time in the day.

“I don’t think I will be going home tonight.

“With Brad it has been a frustrating season for him and I understand that.

“He did play at the beginning and played in a number of games and it has been tough for him because other lads have come in and scored goals.

“As a goal scorer you just want to contribute and I fully understand that.

“But he has trained really well, he has been a vital part of the group but he wants to start games instead of keep coming off the bench.

“That’s a player’s prerogative – they want to start games, they don’t want the season to just past them by.

“We will see. If I do that (let him go) I don’t want to really leave myself short but I’ve got Yann, Ricardo and Danny Haynes all chomping at the bit to play a part.

“Those guys have scored goals at different times this year but if Brad is still here I’d be really happy.

“If he goes of course I will just adjust accordingly.”
