THE superstars of Lashings CC will be returning to north Kent this summer for a seventh consecutive year.

All money raised goes towards The Leigh Academies Trust and the continued drive to raise academic standards and opportunity for youngsters in the north Kent area.

For the previous six years the charity event has taken place at Hesketh Park in Dartford, but the 2013 fixture is relocating to Bexley CC.

The official signing of the contract took place this morning at the Bexley CC ground in Manor Way.

Among those present were Lashings team manager and ex-England fast bowler John Lever and current Lashings player Min Patel.

Lever, famous for taking 10-70 on his England debut in India, said: “The players and management of Lashings have always been thoroughly impressed with the whole day the Leigh Academies Trust have put together and it is a pleasure for me to bring world class players of Lashings to Bexley in 2013.

“The standard of the student team has always been excellent and we know we cannot hold back because we have had a few extremely close games in the past.”
