SIDCUP narrowly pipped Bexley to the Bexley borough indoor girls’ U13 championship title by just 18 runs at Erith Leisure Centre.
After a double round-robin format, Bexley CC and Sidcup CC were tied on 10 points each with the result being decided on aggregate runs scored during the six match afternoon.
And it was Sidcup who just came out on top by 18 runs with an All Stars side making up the three team competition. This event is also used as part of the process for selecting the team to represent the borough at the London Youth Games and the qualifying round takes place in early February.
If they are lucky enough to qualify, the finals will be held at Lord’s in March.
