RHOYS Wiggins started for the first time since September and played almost an hour when Charlton’s reserves went down to a 4-0 defeat at Spurs in a private friendly yesterday.

Wiggins had been sidelined by fractured metatarsals sustained in the 1-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace on September 14.

POLICE advice means Charlton’s home south London derby against Millwall on March 16 will now kick off earlier than originally scheduled at 12.30pm.

KEEPER David Button and striker Adebayo Azeez made their debuts for Charlton on Saturday in the 1-0 FA Cup third round home defeat to Huddersfield.

Button featured for the first time since his summer signing from Tottenham, while homegrown Azeez entered the fray as a late substitute after returning from a loan spell with League Two side Wycombe Wanderers.

Absent due to injury were Leon Cort and Danny Haynes (both hamstring), while the red card for Dorian Dervite means that he will be suspended for Saturday’s match against Blackpool.

Bradley Pritchard and Matt Taylor made their 50th Charlton appearances against Huddersfield, while Chris Solly made his 100th appearance and Dale Stephens featured in his 50th match for Charlton against Derby on December 29.

THE funeral of longserving Charlton historian Colin Cameron will take place next Wednesday (11.30am).

Addicks fans are invited to attend to pay their respects to Cameron, who supported the club since 1947 and acted as its official historian for 40 years before passing away in the early hours of Christmas Day.

He was 76.

The service will take place at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Burnt Oak Lane, Sidcup, with burial following at Sidcup Cemetery in Foots Cray Lane.

TICKETS are on general sale for Charlton’s home matches against Blackpool on Saturday, Sheffield Wednesday on January 26 and Birmingham City on February 9 (all 3pm).

However, the Sheffield Wednesday game could be rearranged if the Owls are in FA Cup fourth round action that weekend instead.

Wednesday take on Milton Keynes Dons in a third round replay next Tuesday night.

FA Youth Cup holders Chelsea arrive at The Valley next Wednesday (7pm) to take on Charlton in the fourth round.

Tickets, which are available on the night, are priced £5 adults and £2 over 60s and U18s.

Only the lower west stand is planned to be open.

TICKETS are on general sale for Charlton’s away match against Blackburn Rovers on January 19 and restricted sale for Crystal Palace on February 2nd (both 3pm).

Palace tickets went on sale today to all Valley Gold members and season-ticket holders (up to two tickets apiece).

Also eligible are fans who have bought tickets to three away games so far in 2012/13 (to the maximum of the lowest number bought for all three games).

Charlton have around 2,600 tickets and any remaining places will go on general sale next Tuesday.
