VALLEY manager Chris Powell is unaware of any interest from Aston Villa, Fulham or Reading in Bradley Pritchard despite the Premier League trio being linked with the midfielder.

Pritchard only joined Charlton from non-league Hayes & Yeading in the summer of 2011 but his impressive displays in the Championship this season have reportedly attracted the attention of the three mentioned top flight sides.

“It is news to me,” said Powell.

“I can’t stop speculation, that will happen because it is January.

“He is a good player, he has made massive strides and people will always look at stories like that and players like that who have come from nowhere and really impressed when they’ve played.

“We’ve tried to be a bit careful with him because he has boundless energy, wants to do well, wants to learn and I really like him as a player and a young man.

“Does it (the speculation) surprise me? Not really.

“If it is true then obviously he is doing something good but nobody from those clubs has contacted me.”
