ELTHAM College’s first XV rugby team beat St Olave’s 38-7 last week to lift the inter-school Mole Cup.
They played some of their best rugby all year and became the first senior team at the school since the 1950s to win all of their regular fixtures.
The team played 15 games this season and won 14, tasting defeat just once in the Daily Mail National Cup to the current holders.
Eltham College scored 504 points with 81 tries and conceded only 115 points, leaving them seventh in the national schools’ league.
Headmaster Paul Henderson said: “Under the excellent coaching of head of rugby Sean Thomson and captaincy of Adam Calderwood, the boys have played for each other every step of the way.
“They can all be immensely proud of what they have achieved this year.”
