A YOUNG motorsport driver from Keston is set to make the step up from karting to single seater racing next year.
Luke Reade, 18, will compete in the 2013 Formula Renault 1600 Northern European Series after being signed up to drive the BMW single seater.
The former Ravenswood School student is on the lookout for sponsorship ahead of the first two races, which take place in Hockenheim, Germany, on April 7.
Dad Alex said: “Luke has the speed, but needs a team that can translate his feedback into positive adjustments and therefore results.
“Of course it is early days and every race meeting adds to Luke’s racing experience and fuels his drive for the perfect set-up.
“This will be the first time that Luke will race with a front line race team.
“So far everything has been achieved with Luke making the difference for either the machinery or the way the Kart was set up.
“At last Luke will have access to a team and coach who will be able to show his true potential.
“We enter this championship with the goal of being the fastest in every session, to win every pole position, to win every race and become the 2013 champion.”
