Still sunny at the Summerfield

Week five of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance saw the top two teams in Division Two go head to head, both with unbeaten records so something had to give.
The Summerfield played hosts to Rileys Rebels and experience showed as the home side won by 10 frames to 5 to keep their unbeaten record intact.
Despite the loss Rebels stay one point ahead of their opponents at the top of the table.
Behind them North Heath Social Club stay in third with an 8-7 victory over Pickwick Academicals, although captain Gary Mason did his best to stave off defeat by winning all three of his frames.

At the top of the SLKPA first division New Eltham Social Club also suffered their first defeat of the season, 8-7 to Rileys Rovers, although they do stay top of the table by seven points.
It was a close game all night with each set being won by the odd 3-2 score line and no team ever going more than one frame in front.
Tony Frost kicked the game off for New Eltham with a ‘7-baller’ in his first of three wins on the night, taking his season’s tally to twelve out of twelve.
Miro Cujic also completed a maximum three out of three for New Eltham but it was left to Rovers Darren Porter to complete his three out of three by winning the final frame decider.
Beech Tree Nuthouse go into fourth, two points behind Rovers after a 10-5 victory over Glenmore Arms II.
The first two sets were quite close with the Nuthouse just edging both 3-2 but they turned on the gas in the final set to win it 4-1.
Shane O’Reilly and Stephen Frampton top scored for the victors winning all three of their frames.
Fox under the Hill B must have thought they were going to notch up their first win of the season after going 5-1 up against Bellegrove Social Club B but Bellegrove won seven of the next nine frames to snatch victory by 8 frames to 7.
Stephen Marsters was unbeaten on two out of two for the victors as was Neil Shelton and Kerry Wyatt for Fox.
