HITHER GREEN: Hundreds attend community event

ARTS, crafts, music, and face painting were all on offer at a community event.

Around 350 people came to the Hither Green Spring Fayre, in Hither Green Lane, Hither Green, on May 9.

The event was organised by the Hither Green Community Association and was aimed at bringing residents, community groups and businesses in the area together.

Organiser Chris Freed, said: “The day was a huge success. It showed people in Hither Green have a real interest in getting involved in their local community.

“I hope it’s the first of many local events.”
