A PRIMARY and secondary school for children with severe learning difficulties have been praised by Ofsted school inspectors and rated as outstanding.
Watergate Primary School, in Lushington Road, Bellingham, and Greenvale School, in Waters Road, Catford, achieved the highest possible marks in all eight categories following inspections last month.
The Ofsted report praises the schools for excellent standards of teaching and says English and mathematics are major strengths within the curriculum.
Alison Youd, executive headteacher for both schools, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that we are judged to be outstanding. The staff, pupils and governors are very proud of our achievement.
“This result is a credit to the pupils, parents and teachers at the schools.”
