CHEFS at a Princes Risborough cooking school created a stir at a food conference by making gingerbread models of London landmarks.

The models, which stand up to 60cm tall, drew crowds to Splat Cooking's stand at the Country Living Christmas Fair, which was held in Upper Street, London, last week.

Beverley Glock, who runs the school, said: “They thought it was absolutely amazing and looked absolutely fantastic.

“The main thing was that we thoroughly enjoyed doing it.”

Beverley and her team used gingerbread to craft miniature models of Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey.

The models were baked at the company's base in Summerleys Road, Princes Risborough, before being taken to the event and assembled.

The staff at Splat Cooking run cooking workshops as well as touring schools giving lessons to children.
