SPEED limits, three-point turns and emergency stops are all familiar parts of the UK driving test.
But from this month, eco-safe driving has become another element for learner drivers to negotiate.
It is a style of driving which contributes to road safety while reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
New drivers will now have to demonstrate they can drive in this way, while taking their driving test.
To help people understand this new test element, the ARC Driver training Centre in Cheshunt Road, Belvedere is holding a free workshop for drivers of all abilities, on Saturday September 27.
The hour-long event aims to look at the basic principles behind eco-safe driving such as car control, planning and anticipation and maintenance.
