GENERAL PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT ORDER 1995
Direction under Article 4(1) to which Article 5(4) applies
NOTICE IS GIVEN that the London Borough of Bromley have made a Direction under article 4 of the General Permitted Development Order 1995 ("the Order"). The Direction was made on 17th October 2007 and approved by the Secretary of State on 31st March 2008.
The Direction applies to;
The erection, construction, maintenance, improvement or alteration of a gate, fence, wall or other means of enclosure being development comprised within Class A of Part 2 of Schedule 2 to the said Order and not being development comprised within any other Class; and
The formation, laying out and construction of a means of access to a highway which is not a trunk road or a classified road, where that access is required in connection with development permitted by an Class in Schedule 2 being development comprised within Class B of Part 2 of Schedule 2 to the said Order and not being development comprised within any other Class; and
The provision on land of buildings, moveable structures, works, plant or machinery required temporarily in connection with and for the duration of operations being or to be carried out on, in, under or over that land or on land adjoining that land being development comprised within Class A of Part 4 of Schedule 2 to the said Order and not being development comprised within any other Class; and
The use of any land for any purpose for not more than 28 days in total in any calendar year, of which not more than 14 days in total may be for the purposes referred to in paragraph B.2, and the provision on the land of any moveable structure for the purposes of the permitted use being development comprised within Class B of Part 4 of Schedule 2 to the said Order and not being development comprised within any other Class.
Being development comprised within Class A of Part 2, Class B of Part 2, Class A of Part 4 and Class B of Part 4 of Schedule 2 of the Order at Land at Shire Lane, Downe, Kent.

The effect of the Direction is that the permission granted by article 3 of the General Permitted Development Order shall not apply to such development and such development shall not be carried out within that area unless planning permission is granted by the Council.
A copy of the Direction and of a map defining the area to which it relates may be seen at the offices of the Council at Planning Reception, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH at all reasonable hours.
