I write in response to Stan Stone's letter...

The two officers at Bromley Council who profess to have no knowledge of the additional payment imposed on London council tax payers by the then London Mayor Ken Livingstone must have very short memories.

In fact at the time Mayor Livingstone said that the small amount of money to be levied for the purposes of going towards the Olympics would be roughly the equivalent of "a small walnut whip".

Well, like Mr Stone, I too would like to know when we will be getting our "walnut whip" money deducted from our council tax.

So come on Bromley Council, stop trying to fob off questions posed by the taxpayers.

If you genuinely do not know the answer then make it your responsibility to find out.
