IT WAS refreshing to see the concerns people showed for the whale stranded in the Thames recently.
What a contrast to the callous disregard shown for the millions of farm animals suffering the miseries and horrors of British factory farms and slaughterhouses.
It is said we are a nation of animal lovers but perhaps it would be more accurate to say we are a nation of selective animal lovers, for surely you do not kill what you love.
