REGARDING the letter describing compassion in world farming's concerns with the torture of ducks and geese in the production of foie gras (What The Foie Are You Doing?, News Shopper, November 9).
Almost all the 20 million ducks killed every year in Britain for the big stores are most cruelly factory farmed.
They are crammed together in sheds as chicks, very often deformed, filthy, diseased and deprived of water.
