Jan Yarker berates Cancer UK for not finding cures.
Let me let her into a secret: there are precious few cures for any diseases today, let alone cancer.
What modern medicine does is take away the symptoms.
Most of us are very grateful for that and wish the scientists well in trying to find cures.
Even with cancer, there is progress. Forty years ago one child in five with cancer would survive, today it is seven out of 10.
And Cancer UK carries out far more non-animal research than animal experiments.
