Unleash hunters

AT LAST countryside issues have arrived on the doorsteps of urban dwellers. For centuries farmers have used their husbandry to maintain the status quo of fauna and flora.

It does not happen all by itself. The culling of foxes, pigeons, rooks, crows and rabbits takes place regularly but these creatures have now moved to towns.

Yes, it is of interest to us city dwellers to see these cute animals in our streets but any animal out of its original habitat evades and becomes a super-species.

They do not lose their natural hunting instincts even though food is readily available.

Let us take a leaf out of our country folks’ book. Invite in the hunt, and shooters (guns) and beaters, all licensed of course.
