IN RESPONSE to the letter Fed Up With Foxes (News Shopper, May 21), I would like to guide people who have problems with foxes to the Living with Foxes page at rspca.org.uk Here you will find sensible remedies on how to deal with these concerns.
Foxes are wild animals and not "vermin", as was stated in the letter.
They may carry disease but then so do some dogs, cats, birds and other animals.
As to blaming foxes for attacking refuse bins, and leaving food scraps scattered about - what about cats? They will often do the same if they get the chance.
In any case, why is the writer reader not composting her vegetable waste?
What is even worse is the continual eyesore left by graffiti and damage to property inflicted by vandals. Please leave the foxes alone.
