I'm Jane, a freelance writer and web editor. I live in Lewisham, but it's not as bad as it's painted. Despite the perceptions of some, it's not all knife crime and mass unemployment. So, in this blog, I'll be looking at the other side of south-east London which isn't as often seen by the wider world - the artists, writers, musicians, crafters and other creative types who've made themselves at home here.
When I'm not scribbling for the News Shopper, you can find me lusting over all things literary (from bags made out of books to homoerotic Harry Potter fanfiction) for my blog, For Books' Sake. I write for various print and online media about books, music, feminism and pop culture. Any spare time is devoted to drinking too much tea, rollerskating, obsessing about 50s frocks and tying myself in knots while attempting to knit. For more about me, have a nosey at my website.
