Regarding your Shop A Dog campaign and dogs attacking posties (Letter Of Intent To Stop Dogs Attacking Posties, News Shopper, March 21).
I would like to say having owned a Staff for 18 years now that they are extremely loyal and family orientated.
Any dog can be dangerous, you must blame the owners not the dogs. I think you are persecuting a particular breed. Why would you want just to muzzle Staffs?
I think Jack Russells are extremely snappy. Just because they are small a bite is still a bite. So please don't just blame one particular breed of dog for being vicious.
Bring the owners to justice for making them that way.
Lastly a Pit Bull Terrier is not even a pure breed. So who is to definitely say what a pure Pit Bull is?
Hundreds of dogs are mistakenly being classed as Pit Bulls and being put down even if they haven't bitten anyone.
A dangerous dog is a dangerous dog and only because the owners made them that way.
