Network Rail has recently pleaded guilty to operating a dangerous level crossing where two teenage girls tragically died in 2005.

I wonder when we will have a fatal accident at the dangerous crossroads at Courthill Road and Lewisham High Street.

Despite the best efforts by local councillors, Lewisham officers and local campaigners, the powers that be in TfL have said they will not install flashing green or red signs for pedestrians or alter phasing because it impedes the flow of buses.

Will TfL be prosecuted if there is a fatal or near-fatal accident?

On February 2 at around 3.30pm there seemed to be traffic chaos after another accident at the crossroads.

Was anyone killed?

A few years ago I saw an air ambulance called in which stopped cars and buses for an hour at least.

TfL seems to have its priorities wrong with cars and public transport over those on foot.
