This Thames crossing bridge - if it ever happens - will be environmental vandalism of our beautiful green pleasant land.
Where this government and KCC propose to put this load of concrete is right in the heart of a village in the Higham/Shorn area, again tearing up the countryside. What is the sense in building more roads?
This only adds to the problems.
As the same old saying goes: "The more roads that are built the more traffic is on it".
The tolls at the Dartford bridge and tunnel should be scrapped all together. That bridge and that tunnel has paid for itself time and time again.
It is just a government tax of the motorist. What does Essex County Council think of this environmental vandalism?
Jobs can be made in a lot of other ways. These county councils, borough councils, and governments are just using this recession as an excuse to make out they are creating jobs by building these lumps of concrete nobody wants.
So say no to the Thames crossing.
