I, others and even this government object to Abu Qatada remaining in Great Britain.

It appears that due to a European Court of Human Rights ruling against his extradition, that the British taxpayer is to be saddled with the considerable and ongoing costs both financially and in surveillance manpower terms.

This government clearly wants him gone. The ECHR says that you can't send him back to his country of birth. If that is what that court decrees then the answer seems simple to me.

Let the government calculate the costs of keeping him here and bill whoever in Europe for enacting their requirements if they feel so strongly about his rights.

They can then tack on the costs of his wife and family who all entered this country illegally even by European law.

Then add on all the legal costs that this "court of human rights" sets at nought, since its law prevails no matter what the circumstances.

After all it has endless finance to throw at all manner of stupidity, so let it put its money where its huge mouth is.
