I WAS surprised when I received a phone call in August last year from Marian Khamo, asking for my help to clear her name as she had been unfairly dismissed by Bexley Association of Disabled People.
From evidence provided and from what I know of her on a professional basis, I believed she was not guilty and I agreed to support her.
It was no surprise to me when Mrs Khamo was totally cleared.
An industrial tribunal stated "the two main trustees had blinded themselves and chose to ignore clear evidence the allegations against her were substantially misplaced" and the respondents did not conduct a reasonable inquiry.
Bexley Association of Disabled People's action has brought a lot of unnecessary misery to Mrs Khamo over the past year.
The monies awarded to her by the tribunal will never compensate for her financial and emotional loss.
I hope she can overcome the past year and wish her every success for the future.
