I live in Cheviot Close, Barnehurst. This address is in a cul-de-sac which is only 13ft wide. Goods vehicles, delivery vans and council dust carts have to drive on the opposite side pavements to get up the road. Is this not breaking the law?
On August 22, August 23 and August 25 I received parking tickets for parking partly on my drive.
I was not causing an obstruction because pedestrians and prams could pass comfortably.
If you do park in the road you are likely to get your car damaged by being scratched or the wing mirrors knocked off.
Other cars were parked with two wheels on the kerb but they did not get tickets.
Marion Goodman, Barnehurst
