I WOULD like to point out to EH Thomas of Belvedere (Poor Petition, News Shopper, August 23) the current petition against the incinerator was carried out in less than three weeks.
So 5,000 signatures is quite impressive, as is the work which went into collecting them at very short notice.
The last petition against the incinerator contained 27,000 signatures but admittedly took a little longer.
