I AGREE buses should not have seat belts installed (Drawbacks Of Bus Belts, News Shopper, April 19) as buses are designed so people just hop on and off.
Although about a month ago an elderly lady suffered head injuries as a bus made an emergency stop, I still think seat belts should never be installed on buses.
If someone only got on the bus and was getting off at the next stop, they wouldn't even put a seat belt on anyway. Would you?
If the driver had to check all the passengers had a seat belt on, it would delay the buses for a long time, so don't install seat belts on London buses ever.
