I WOULD like to thank former PC Ernie Jupp, his former colleague PC Bernie MacDonnell and News Shopper for printing the wonderful article relating to the history of Shooters Hill police station (Police Station's Past, News Shopper, March 23).
I am the daughter of the late PC Barrie Warren, who was pictured with his two colleagues, and it was fantastic to see even 25 years after his early demise, he is still fondly remembered as a bit of a "character".
I have now been in touch with both of his former colleagues and am finding out more about the lively personality of my father, whom I barely knew as I was only five years old when he died.
It's also excellent to see the history of our borough isn't being forgotten in an age of much rebuilding.
