I PRESUME Laura-Jane Filotrani (Shooting From The Lip, News Shopper, April 26) is being deliberately provocative and I know I shouldn't, but I shall rise to the bait.
Why stop at denying smokers treatment? I could produce an enormously long list of groups of people who are in varying degrees, responsible for their own health problems. I shall list but a few: Drinkers liver problems and accidents and violence caused under the influence of alcohol; drug-takers; over-eaters obesity and the diseases which are caused by it; sexually promiscuous people STDs, abortions, mental problems; participants in dangerous sports and DIY addicts.
