I AM a Hindu from Calcutta not a Sikh. I am also a general surgeon. I once wanted to meet Mr Chris Pond.
It was not to discuss any narrow community or personal issues.
He obliged by coming to meet me at my house.
I found him extremely charming, approachable, and a perfect English gentleman, the kind I yearned to meet when my parents told me about them.
I cannot say I come across many these days.
