THANK you for your front page showing readers how the new Tesco store in Orpington will appear on completion (Anger Over Store Plan, News Shopper, April 19).
Instead of the grotesque concrete mass of the present car park there, it seems what we are to have is a stupendous, attractive and useful edifice.
This will be a great enhancement to a wilting town, and a fillip to the other smaller versions of supermarkets in Orpington, for too long benefitting from captive customers, to pull their socks up and provide a better and wider service.
