Fly the flag for Queen Mary's Hospital. In the A&E department I was seen by a sympathetic and professional lady called Caroline Crouch who took my particulars.
A staff nurse called Sandra showed me to Ruxley Ward and we were discussing the bad press in News Shopper.
Sandra told me how demoralising it was for the dedicated staff who get little thanks.
The next day, waiting outside theatre I felt vulnerable and terrified thinking of all the horrible things I had read about the hospital.
The doctor who was going to do the operation introduced himself.
The next thing I knew the operation over and l was back in the ward.
It was a complete success and after the first meeting with the physiotherapist I was discharged.
All the staff were first class.
I hope my story will reassure some and boost the morale of others.
There must be other stories like mine so let's have more of them please.
Three cheers for all at Queen Mary's.
