I TOO, like so many of your readers, have fallen foul of the Priory Centre clampers.

Before Christmas I retuned to my car with my disabled mother-in-law and young baby.

I was horrified to find my vehicle had been clamped.

Within five minutes of calling the release number on the ticket stuck to the windscreen, some half-wit appeared demanding £125 to take the wheel clamp off.

I explained to him I was carrying a disabled person and showed him her disabled blue badge.

He refused to listen to me and said I had to write in to complain.

I had no option but to pay the extortionate fee so I could go on my way.

So far I have contacted the clamping company and left numerous messages for the manager of the Priory Centre.

I am nowhere near recovering my money.

I for one won't shop at the Priory Centre any more.
