I JUST wanted to warn people about charity leaflets asking for old clothes.

I put some clothes in a bag with Great Ormond Street on it by my front door with my other recycling products. I came home one day to find it had gone.

I did not put it at the end of the driveway or suggested it was for collecting. I think they just came and took it from my property because it was in a charity bag.

So now I leave my clothing for charity inside the house.

One time Great Ormond Street was collecting and I had put out three or four bags in Great Ormond street charity bags.

Later in the day a man knocked on the door and said "I am here to collect for Great Ormond Street Hospital, I understand you had some bags for collection".

He told me someone drives round to note where the bags are and then the Great Ormond Street van collects them.

However, in the mean time another firm comes round and collects them. I was annoyed because I choose my items to go to Great Ormond Street and someone else took them.

What is the answer? There should be some sort of phone number we can ring to say we have a donation so we know it is going where we want it to go.
