A LETTER writer (News Shopper, January 12) incorrectly claims we are Europeans.
We happen to live in an area of the globe which has been labelled Europe but there is no overall coherent cultural, ethnic or tribal association which constitutes us Europeans.
Unless this gentleman is an immigrant, he is likely to be an Anglo-Saxon if his origins are English or a Celt if his origins are in Scotland or Wales.
Incredibly in this sophisticated age, the tribal war still rages. Money will flow south to resolve Africa's problem. The slogan Prosperity for All should be greeted with extreme apprehension south of the border for it spells doom for Middle England who will be financing it.
