I think Rachel Bradman has got it all wrong by saying church services offer nothing for 21st century folk (News Shopper, October 27).

Rachel is only looking at the Church of England, Roman Catholic or even Muslim establishments.

She has not considered the reformed churches such as Baptist, Charismatic, Evangelical or Pentecostal fellowships where worship is not just about going to a building and singing a few hymns but it is also a way of life.

In 2004 we have to admit this is the best time to get the church involved in our society to transform it into a better and safer environment based on the teachings in the Bible. This is necessary as instances of drug use, gun crime, yobs, abortion, designer babies and more are on the increase.

Where the elderly are fearful of children who have totally lost respect for authority.

Perhaps because their parents have trained them in thinking our society has moved on' and science and technology are now lord and master.
