I know I've had letters printed before, in fact, I've got strong opinions on various things such as yob behaviour, state of the roads and anti-social noise.
But I'm not a whinger honest.
I'm just one of those people raised in the late 60s who was taught to respect others and be polite.
So, for my latest gripe, I would like to discuss the way drivers treat us cyclists.
I've had cars indicate left, so rightly I either wait behind or go to their opposite side, to then have them change their mind and swing right.
I get the driver who will pootle along behind me even though you could get a bus past me.
Then there's Mr/Mrs ignorant who if there are cars parked along the road and I politely wait and give them right of way, can't even give me a nod or wave of acknowledgement and don't even make eye contact as if I'm not even there.
In fact I'm convinced that if all drivers had to re-sit their test, 85 per cent would fail on not paying attention.
I would love it if all drivers had to spend one week as a cyclist, then maybe they'd get an idea of seeing it from our side.
