I WRITE in response to the letter headlined Visit To Town Didn't Change My Opinion (News Shopper, August 11).
If ever the saying "don't tar everyone with the same brush" was more worthy a statement, it's in response to the continued griping about the state of Gravesend.
How dare Bromleyites generalise the town's residents. I, for one, object to being called trailer trash. My family are hard working, we pay our taxes, don't sponge of the state and don't spit in the streets.
I know everyone's entitled to their own opinion, well here's mine leave Gravesend alone. I'd much rather live in a Kentish Town than a London Borough.
