From time to time I read in this paper, and others, letters complaining about the care and attention received at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough.

The poor standard of cleanliness and food seem the main complaint.

I have recently returned home following an eight-day stay at the hospital after an operation and place on record my gratitude for the excellent attention I received after a heart attack.

The rapid reaction to the attack was beyond praise and the subsequent care was great. Nothing was too much trouble.

Although I was only in two wards, intensive care and the coronary unit, they were clean and the food was excellent.

Nurses particularly, often have a thankless task and cleaners and cooks cannot please all.

Well for my part thank you to all at the hospital.
