I would like to comment on Mr Thompson's ludicrous letter, suggesting Braeburn Park residents are creating a problem and not FM Conway (News Shopper, August 18).

If he had watched the news or stepped out of his house anytime in the last 10 years, he may have noticed houses are being built all over the country to cope with demand and the rising population.

If the council cannot keep up with this in terms of transport and schools, then maybe he should ask the councils and the Government on what all his rising taxes are being spent As he rightly says, Dartford is on the up, so it follows the population will grow also.

However, house prices have not only fallen but people are unable to sell the houses at all under the current situation with Conway.

I would like to make Mr Thompson aware that when the 250 plus residents of Braeburn Park bought their houses, all solicitors' searches of the area did not turn up the activities of FM Conway but showed the area was due to be turned into a woodland and nature reserve once the building was complete.

As all of the above clearly does not affect Mr Thompson, may I suggest he keep his opinions to himself.
