WITH the British death toll in Afghanistan increasing almost daily, it is time this administration looked at its priorities.

On the one hand, rightly or wrongly, we are involved in a war costing an estimated £10 million a day in which our young men are being sacrificed, dangerously under equipped, especially with helicopters, as well as other things, and given a task too vast for the numbers sent there.

On the other we have a continuing membership of the European Union costing an estimated £40 million a day, and for which no-one can show any benefit to ourselves as a nation, but which is daily increasing the destruction of our democracy, usurping our justice system, introducing new laws by the thousands to hamstring each of us and our economy, untruthfully rewriting our history and destroying our heritage.

We can either withdraw completely from the EU, use at least half of that £40 million to properly equip our forces and the remainder to build hospitals, prisons and control our own borders and deport illegal immigrants to wherever they came from.

Or we can meekly succumb to rule from Brussels, hand over our economy as we did our gold reserves to Europe, and accept a status as a subject people to a foreign power.

I know which option I would choose and it would certainly not be to bow down to Europe.
